Pierwsza publikacja w języku polskim omawiająca twórczość Aldousa Huxleya (1894–1963), wybitnego brytyjskiego powieściopisarza i eseisty, autora >i>Nowego wspaniałego świata (1932) – antyutopii uważanej za jedno z arcydzieł XX wieku. Zarówno powieści, jak i utwory niebeletrystyczne Huxleya zostały przedstawione w świetle najnowszych badań literaturoznawców anglojęzycznych i polskich. Książka zawiera też dzieje tłumaczeń dzieł Huxleya na język polski i ich recepcji w Polsce oraz szczegółowe omówienie dwóch polskich przekładów Nowego wspaniałego świata.

Aldous Huxley’s Brave New Worlds and Their Reception in Poland

The first Polish presentation of the whole literary output of Aldous Huxley (1894-1963), outstanding British novelist and essayist, the author of Brave New World (1932) – a dystopia considered to be one of the most important books of 20th century. The authors discuss Huxley’s novels and non-fiction, taking into consideration the most recent publications of both Polish and English-speaking literary scholars. The book also describes the history of Polish translations of Huxley’s works as well as their reception in Poland, paying particular attention to two Polish translations of Brave New World.
