Multidyscyplinarna monografia składająca się z jedenastu tekstów poświęconych problemowi bezpieczeństwa energetycznego Polski, rozpatrywanego w kontekście: uwarunkowań międzynarodowych, własnych zasobów surowcowych, dostępnych technologii oraz potrzeb zarówno polskiego przemysłu, jak i gospodarstw domowych. Autorzy dokonują przeglądu rozmaitych rozwiązań technicznych (od wykorzystania wód geotermalnych po rozwój energetyki jądrowej) i prawnych (przedstawiając stan prawodawstwa w Polsce oraz stopień niezależności polskich organów prawodawczych od organów Unii Europejskiej), a także sposobów planowania polityki energetycznej Polski i jej zależności od tendencji światowych.

This multidisciplinary monograph consists of eleven texts devoted to the problem of Poland’s energy security, examined within the context of international conditions, country’s own resources, available technologies and the needs of Polish industry and households. The authors review various technical solutions (from the use of geothermal water to the development of nuclear energy), as well as the legal ones (presenting the state of legislation in Poland and the degree of independence of Polish legislative bodies from the European Union ones), they also discuss planning Polish energy policy and its dependence on global trends.
